Regional Prevention Center

Our services for children and youth utilize science-based prevention programs to develop healthy decision making skills. Science-based programs have pre-tests and post-tests to determine how well the program is retained by students.
Early Intervention Program
The goal of Early Intervention is to provide prevention and intervention consultation and communication with members of the juvenile justice system, law enforcement, schools and other community resources dealing with juveniles.
KIDS NOW
The KIDS NOW Early Childhood Development Program goals are to increase the health of all Kentucky babies by decreasing the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs during pregnancy.
KY-ASAP
Kentucky Agency for Substance Abuse Policy was initiated by Governor Patton to encourage communities to do local planning and intergration of services regarding substance abuse prevention and treatment. The program provides seed money to communities to help integrate and/or match other funds toward improving treatment and prevention programs for children and adults.
Life Skills Training
Lifeskills training is a school-based prevention program designed to address a wide range of risk and resiliency factors by teaching students the personal and social skills they need to say no. This program is typically aimed at the middle school level.
Prime for Life Under 21
This program is designed for youth under age 21 regarding high-risk behavior and low risk choices. This program is used a spart of the Early Intervention / Zero Tolerance program.
S.Q.U.A.D.S.
This program is geared toward middle school and high school children. It's purpose is to teach them regarding working with environmental strategies in their community to help increase the awareness of substance abuse issues and decrease usage.
