Regional Prevention Center

Adults are provided information, education and training on the effects of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs through the workplace, church, schools, civic groups and other sites in the community.
KY-ASAP
Kentucky Agency for Substance Abuse Policy was initiated by Governor Patton to encourage communities to do local planning and intergration of services regarding substance abuse prevention and treatment. The program provides seed money to communities to help integrate and/or match other funds toward improving treatment and prevention programs for children and adults.
Prime for Life for Parents
This program is geared towards parents with a two pronged approach. The program not only helps parents deal with their own substance abuse issues, but also helps in teaching children about low risk behaviors and programs related to drug abuse.
Prime for Life in the Workplace
This program is used to teach individuals low-risk behavior. The program was developed to address the increasing number of problems that are found in the workplace by employees who use alcohol and other drugs.
Fostering Strengths
This program is noted primarly for foster parents, to teach them skills in working with foster children concerning prevention and substance abuse issues.
T.I.P.S.
This program is done with owners of stores that serve liquor and/or servers who work at business who sell or serve alcoholic beverages. This program focuses on teaching how to be a responsible owner/server, including how to recognize when someone is getting into trouble with intoxication before they become a dnager to themselves and others.
We Card
The We Card program is a vendor education program to teach the importance of asking for identification by the vendor who sells tobacco products.
