Therapeutic Foster Care

Foster Family Requirements
In order to be approved as a foster parent, the following criteria must be met:
- We accept married couples or single individuals. Married couples __shall have been married for at least two years. - You must have an automobile and a valid driver's license. - You must have automobile and homeowner's insurance. - You can rent or own your home. - You must have a telephone in working order. - You must have a smoke detector in each bedroom and a fire __extinguisher in the kitchen. - You must be in good physical and mental health. - You must be free of arrests or convictions including spouse and/or __child abuse/neglect. - Personal and credit references are required. - You must have income sufficient to support your own family. - There must be enough space in the home for all household __members to have privacy. - No more than four children may share a room, and each child __must have his/her own bed. - Male and female children and adults and children can not share a __bedroom. - You must have patience and flexibility and the ability to work in __partnership with birth parents, therapists, social workers, school __personnel, and other professionals.
