| Supported
employment is a service that, using proactive techniques, enables people
with learning difficulties (previously called people with mental handicaps)
to find and keep real jobs in the community. |
The
idea is simple: the employer teaches our consultant how to do the job. Then
the consultant teaches the employee at the workplace for however long it
takes - a day, a week, a month, |
| until
the employee is fully trained. And then, on an ongoing basis, the consultant
provides real support to the employee and the employer. |
